To ensure you meet all Roosevelt University entry requirements, you must submit supporting documents as evidence when you apply. You will not be considered for admission until we receive all supporting documents.

International Study Center entry requirements

Acceptance into International Year One or the Pre-Master's Program is based on the academic entry requirements for entry to Roosevelt University.


Since the ISC programs will improve your language proficiency to satisfy the University's English level admission requirements, students are accepted with lower English levels than those required for direct entry to a University degree.

English language level

The International Study Center accepts TOEFL, IELTS or Password English test scores for admission purposes.&n;If you have neither TOEFL nor IELTS scores, you must take the free Password English test. Contact us to arrange to take the Password test.

* 1-semester English for Academic Purposes, followed by 3-semester IFY

The length of your ISC program depends on your English level as determined by English tests on arrival at Roosevelt University. Program duration for each student is confirmed after a TOEFL test, Roosevelt writing test, and ISC speaking interview.


Academic entry requirements

GO TO GRADUATE REQUIREMENTS

International Year One applicants:

  • At least 17 years old at the start of the program
  • Completed the equivalent of US high school
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA (Grade Point Average) equivalent

Pre-Master's Program applicants:

  • Completed a 3- or 4-year undergraduate degree from an accredited university
  • Minimal 2.75 GPA in undergraduate study

Graduate admission tests

GRE and GMAT preparation is NOT part of the Pre-Master's Program. Applicants do not need to take the GMAT or GRE with one exception:

  • MBA applicants with a cumulative GPA below a 3.0.

These applicants must submit a GMAT score during their Pre-MBA / Pre-Master's Program application process.

FAQ: Do I need IELTS or TOEFL to apply?

No official IELTS or TOEFL score is required for international student pathways. You can complete the free Password English Language test instead. Ask to take the English test.
